Care for your spruce stand: two options to suit your needs

Option 1: For those with care and foresight

If you like to take good care of your equipment, here are our recommendations for maximizing the life of your rack:

  • In winter: Unscrew each nut with a turn of the wrench to prevent the swelling effect of humidity and cold.
  • Prevention: Do not leave the feet of the support directly on the ground during winter.
  • Wood protection: Apply a woodstain or saturator in the first year. Reapply a maintenance coat every three years.
  • Winter position: Raise the uprights to avoid prolonged exposure to the elements.

By following these instructions, according to our customers' feedback, your support can last between 15 and 20 years, while retaining its elegance and solidity.

Option 2: For busy people

If your schedule doesn't allow you to devote much time to maintenance:

  • Your surface will take on a natural grey patina in the second year if it is neither stained nor saturated.
  • With minimal maintenance, such as unscrewing each nut at the start of winter and raising the uprights, your stand will still last between 7 and 10 years.
